Aiming at the soil rebound engineering phenomenon in the excavation of large area foundation pits. Based on compression-rebound experiments and the assumption that soil compression and rebound should obey the λ-line and k-line laws respectively, the thesis deduces a simplified method to calculate total rebound value and that of layered soil by relying on one-dimension theoretical rebound model. With only 4 general parameters, this calculation model can compute rebound modulus at any positions below the pit. Comparative analysis among the simplified calculation method, the code method and the residual stress method is conducted by taking two major projects as examples. According to the measured data of the Research Laboratory Building of China Academy of Building Research, the difference between measured data and final rebound value calculated by the simplified calculation method is only 4.94%; Moreover, the change of rebound value with depth is consistent with the measured data. The difference between measured data originated from the foundation pit of the Xinke station of Shanghai Metro Line 1 and calculated results by simplified method is only 1.48%. In short, the simplified method is well proved to be precise, simple, convenient and clear, and it can be used to provide theoretical reference for other similar foundation pit engineering.
