Abstract:Destruction of the infrastructures under the earthquake may cause regional dysfunction, and accurate assessment on its functional recovery ability can provide important reference for reconstruction work. The functional restoration of regional building is not only related to the damaged state of buildings, but also depends on the degree of traffic system retardation. Previous studies have focused on quantifying the damaged state and maintenance cost of building components, but have not considered the impact of the traffic system. An assessment method of functional recovery capability considering traffic block for regional buildings is proposed. Furthermore, a method for assessing residual function of buildings after earthquake is put forward by defining a functional loss ratio. Based on the function importance index of traffic links, a traffic block analysis model is established which considered the combined effects of building damage and earthquake secondary disasters. The function recovery time of single building is calculated by combining the traffic congestion degree and the building residual function. According to the horizontal recovery path in series, the functional recovery ability evaluation system of regional building considering the traffic block is established. With a village taken as an example, the proposed method is verified, and the analysis shows that the proposed method can fully consider the influence of traffic function on the regional building recovery, so that its results are more reasonable and accurate.
