Abstract:In order to verify whether the reliability level of shear bearing capacity formula in the Technical Specification for Concrete Structures with Specially Shaped Columns meets the requirements prescribed in the Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures, the calculation formulas for the mean value and the coefficient of variation of shear bearing capacity as well as the correlation coefficient between shear bearing capacity and load were derived based on the probability theory, empirical calibration method, moment distribution method, and inflection-point method. The improved JC method considering the influence of random variables was employed to analyze the reliability level for specially shaped column under three different combinations of loads, and the cases of not meeting the Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures were emphasized. Furthermore, the dual-coefficient adjustment method was utilized to establish the shear bearing capacity formula for specially shaped column, which meets the requirements prescribed in the Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures. Finally, the high-precision dual-coefficient calculation formula was provided as a reference for revising Technical Specification for Concrete Structures with Specially Shaped Columns.
