Abstract:This paper introduces the nonlinear method of single pile under vertical load. Extending the work of predecessors, the matrix expressions of shielding-reinforcing effect of passive pile in layered soils are deduced. To avoid overestimating pile group interaction by linear elastic method, combining the superposition algorithm, a non-linear elastic-plastic method considering shielding-reinforcing effect is proposed for the pile group stiffness and additional force of foundation piles. Finally, the proposed method is verified by pile groups with rigid cap.
