Abstract:The design method for the perforated steel-plate assembled bucklingrestrained brace is proposed based on the research results and relevant specifications of this type of brace, and its design process is also providedFurthermore, based on the quasi-static tests of four specimens, the rationality and effectiveness of the design method and the design process of the brace are verified. The experimental results indicate that the measured values of the perforated steel-plate assembled buckling-restrained brace agree well with the design values, the brace possesses good overall and local stability, stable hysteretic behavior, plump hysteretic curve, excellent energydissipation performance, good symmetric bearing capacity and plastic deformation capacity, and stable fatigue resistance.
