Abstract:The research progress in the field of geotechnical testing and exploration techniques in recent years were summarized, including geotechnical laboratory testing technology, geotechnical centrifugal simulation technology, geotechnical engineering investigation technology, and in-situ testing technology. It shows that, in recent years the construction of various kinds of projects has shown a trend of higher, larger, deeper and heavier, the traditional geotechnical testing technology has changed radically; large scale geotechnical laboratory test and centrifuge equipment, considering “water-heat-force” coupling, vibration, weathering, high pressure, wave, erosion and other complex conditions, electronic measurement, optical fiber testing, electromagnetic testing, acoustic testing, laser scanning, wireless sensing, geophysical prospecting and other advanced techniques have been widely used in the field of geotechnical engineering.
