Abstract: In this study, the concrete durability parameters of raymond cylinder pile were tested in laboratory and utilized as the initial boundary conditions for the research of durability degradation and life prediction. Based on the durability survey and on-site core analysis of several domestic large pipe pile wharfs in active service for many years, the distribution data of chloride ion concentration in concrete of large pipe pile in use were achieved. Based on the statistical analysis on large amount of data, those durability state parameters, such as the chloride ion concentration, the chloride ion diffusion coefficient, and the chloride ion penetration depth on concrete surface of large pipe pile were obtained, and the law of chloride ion erosion into large pipe pile concrete was studied. Furthermore, on the basis of the mathematical model of Fick′s second law, a life prediction model of raymond cylinder pile was established, and the software for the life prediction of raymond cylinder pile was developed. Therefore, this study provides a theoretical and experimental reference for durability design, use and maintenance of raymond cylinder pile.
