Abstract:The left turn and the straight line of the secondary traffic has great impact on the intersection of the vehicle, especially when the main road traffic is busy. By detouring secondary traffic flow, the vehicle conflicts can be reduced and the operational efficiency in intersections can be improved. The suitable conditions and traffic stream organization method of auxiliary lane distant guidance of road plane intersection are analyzed, Taking the least delay as a goal, the key geometrical parameter calculation model of distant guidance vehicles turnaround position, distant guidance vehicles turnaround queue length, the front opening length and width of distant guidance turnaround position is built.
