Abstract: The prefabricated building is promoting the transformation from the traditional construction way to the modern industrialized construction way. However, there has been a major bottleneck problem caused by different natures of resource scheduling and mutual restraint, due to the difference in locations and nonsynchronous features of different working areas such as working area for assembly, working area for component production and working areas of transport and logistics. This work is aimed at revealing the cooperative mechanism of various construction resources distributed in different multi-dimensional working areas based on the in-depth analysis of the features of construction way. On the premise of information sharing of multi-dimensional working areas and with the coordination and allocation of construction resources such as manpower and equipment taken as the core, three key scheduling techniques were proposed to establish a new type of continuous and stable project scheduling model. The key scheduling techniques include the dimension-reduction technique of multi-dimensional working areas based on time axis, the resource scheduling and coordination technique under the condition of information sharing, the determination technique of optimal resource curve in the assembly working area. The empirical analysis and the corresponding results indicate that the proposed scheduling method can lead to an effective production scheduling and provide additional supporting information for decision making.
