Abstract: Ji’nan is the world famous “Spring City”, the protection of groundwater resources is of great significance to its economic and social development. In order to solve the problem of excessive loss of groundwater resources caused by foundation pit dewatering in urban construction process, groundwater pressurized recharge experiment was carried out in the western suburbs of the city. The following conclusions are drawn: 1) Under the geological condition of the water rich oval layer in the western suburb of Ji’nan, pressurized recharge has a significant effect on improving the efficiency of the recharge well. From field test data, when the wellhead pressure increases to 0.07MPa, the recharge volume of each well shows a growth rate of about 50% compared to normal pressure. 2) With the increase of the pressure of the recharge well, the influence range of recharge is enlarged, and when the wellhead pressure reaches 0.05MPa, the influence radius of the recharge is increased by more than 80% compared with the normal pressure. Although pressurized recharge has significant effect on increasing the working efficiency of recharge wells, it is necessary to consider the seepage risk of the soil layer above the target level and the impervious strength of the sealing measures around the recharge well. The upper limit of recharge pressure at the wellhead must be set according to the most unfavorable condition. The test shows that the pressure recharge is suitable for the strong water permeable gravel layer in the western suburb of Ji’nan, which has great recharge and high efficiency. It can effectively compensate for the loss of groundwater resources caused by the dewatering of the foundation pit, which is of great significance to the “spring protection”.
