Abstract:In order to overcome the problems of box column in field welding, the high-efficient assembled system of steel structure is constructed by using the boxshaped column joint composed of core sleeve, bolts and the intermediate column containing friction dampers. Pseudo-dynamic and quasi-static tests were conducted on a model frame of high-efficient assembling and damped system of steel structure with a scale of 0.7. Research results indicate that under the action of El-Centro seismic record corresponding with 8 degree (0.2 g) frequent occurrence, fortification, rare earthquake and 8 degree (0.3 g) rare earthquake, the tested frame presents favorable rigid connecting performance and shows no obvious plastic damage after pseudo-dynamic test. Under the large deformation quasi-static test, the hysteretic curves of the testing frame shows a bilinear shape and the energy consumption of the structure is mainly achieved by friction dampers. At the end of the test, the joint zone, the frame beam and the intermediate column were basically in an elastic state except that the large strain occurred at the column foot. The results show that the joint stiffness of the steel structure has good mechanical properties, and the intermediate column damper plays the role of energy dissipation.
