Abstract:Theoretical research and stabilization of engineering slopes are of important meaning for ensuring safety construction and normal operation of infrastructures. The engineering slopes composed by rock mass and special soils with special characters including loess, expansive soil and frozen soil are different from common soil slopes, which show some differences in the theoretical research referring to stability analysis, engineering design and analysis software. For this purpose, based on review of related research literature at home and abroad, common theoretical research progress in terms of stability analysis, engineering design and analysis software of loess, expansive soil, frozen soil and rock engineering slopes was first summarized, and new theoretical research progress of loess, expansive soil, frozen soil and rock engineering slopes was expounded. Furthermore, development tendency of monitoring and prewarning of engineering slopes was summarized, typical treatment cases of special soil and rock engineering slopes were provided, and further research direction of special soil and rock engineering slopes was pointed.
