Abstract:In order to investigate the effect of the acid rain in atmospheric environment on the seismic behavior of masonry structure, the acid rain accelerated corrosion test and low-frequency cyclic loading test were conducted on 4 same specimens in this work. The results show that the seismic behavior of masonry walls decrease with the increase of corrosion cycles. And the load-displacement hysteretic curves of masonry walls were obtained. Based on the comparison of test data under different corrosion cycles, the behavior degeneration rule of brick walls was analyzed and built. The degeneration restoring force models of brick walls under different corrosion cycles were developed based on the Ibarra-Krawinkler model, and then OpenSees was used to verify the restoring force models. The results show that the proposed restoring force model is capable of representing the material nonlinearity of brick walls affected by acid rain corrosion and cyclic loading. The research may be helpful for the seismic analysis of masonry structure affected by acid rain environment.
