BIIR/NBR composite rubber material used for high damping isolation bearings was prepared by Nitrile rubber (NBR) and brominated butyl rubber (BIIR) two matrix rubbers. The vulcanizing, mechanical and damping properties of the rubber material were analyzed using rheometer, universal testing machine and dynamic mechanical analyzer. Results showed that: with low sulfur and high accelerator vulcanization system, rubber material had better vulcanization flatness. Due to thermodynamic incompatibility and differences in two-phase curing rate, crosslinking densities of the two phases were different and interface bonding strength was weak in the blends, which reduced the mechanical properties of the composite. With the increase of BIIR content, the tanδ-T curves of the blends presented two peaks and extended to the lower and higher temperature respectively, which greatly expanded the effective temperature range of the composites. When the ratio of NBR/BIIR was 30/70, the effective temperature range reached 85.60 degrees. The further study of hot air aging method showed that the degradation of mechanical properties and damping properties of the composite is not obvious, and the composite has good anti-aging stability. The composite material has good comprehensive mechanical properties, and the study results can provide references for the preparation of composite rubber material in high damping isolation bearings.
