Environmental geotechnics:state-of-the-art of theory,#br# testing and application to practice

Abstract:This work mainly summarizes the global research process of new theories,novel methods and advanced technologies in the field of environmental geotechnics for the last five years. In the paper,the new theories/methods of environmental geotechnics are introduced,it includes multi-field and multi-phase coupling theory,multiscale characterization for environmental soil mechanics,and environmental safety for pollutant and evaluation method of engineering characteristic. Based on the development of technologies and equipment for environmental geotechnics,we conclude their advances of investigation,detection and remediation applied in the field of contaminated sites,and their application in solid waste resource recycling. The successful examples with governing polluted environmental site are used to demonstrate that the technologies and equipment above is effective. These cases contain the practice of disaster prevention and control engineering in landfill,integrated ecological treatment engineer,and the application of in-situ restoration engineering for contaminated sites.
