Abstract:The screw conveyor is an important part of the earth pressure balanced shield tunneling machine. It has the functions of dumping soil, maintaining pressure and regulating pressure, stabilizing the excavation surface and controlling the surface settlement and uplift. Shield model screw conveyor is an important tool to study the mechanical characteristics of conditioned soil. Although the structure of the model machine is simple, the design is more complicated. By the analysis of the geometric structure, the design method of the spiral blade was deduced; according to the screw conveyor torque calculation formula, the basis for the selection of the gear motor was obtained; from the volume conveyor rate formula of the screw conveyor, the design size of test muck box was obtained. Based on the design theory of the shield model screw conveyor, an indoor test prototype was processed. The mechanical property test of conditioned muck confirmed the effectiveness of the design method, and provided a theoretical basis for the optimal design of the model screw conveyor.
