Experimental research and calculation of column load redistribution under the influence of differential settlement

Abstract:Differential settlement is the main causes for the upper structure internal force redistribution and safety accidents of the structure. The existing research results have been analyzed. The single column model, 3×3 across model and main skirt model are researched. The basic column load redistribution considering the interaction of upper structure differential settlement is obtained. With the increase of foundation deflection for 3×3 model, the axial force ratio of angular column to mean column increased from 0.57 to 0.68, and the axial force ratio of side column to mean column increased from 0.85 to 1.0. The complex structure of the high and low floors, when the outer skirt room is 3 spans, the side axis position column of the main building and the side axis position column of the 3 spans skirt room have a large increase. And compared through the calculation of finite element software, the consider of the specific calculation methods and some problems that should be emphatically considered, which can be used as a reference for designers in the actual project.
