Abstract:The durability deterioration of concrete structures has obvious regional characteristics in different exposure environments. Research on the freeze-thaw damage of concrete with environmental parameters changes is of great practical significance to the freeze-thaw durability design and engineering practice of concrete. Focusing on the quantitative design for durability of concrete structures, the demand analysis for life prediction of concrete structures is performed firstly. The quantitative requirements of three aspects, including natural freeze-thaw environment, the proportion of concrete freeze-thaw damage between on-site test in natural environment and laboratory experiment, and the frost resistance of concrete itself are put forward. The influence of different environmental factors (i.e., cooling rate, minimum freezing temperature, time at minimum freezing temperature and degree of saturation) on the deterioration mechanism of concrete during the process of freezing and thawing is summarized from both theoretical and experimental levels. Furthermore, the relevant research results on the relationship between on-site and laboratory test freeze-thaw environments are discussed. Finally, some conclusions and suggestions are proposed from the view of concrete durability design and life prediction.
